CBMC began in the United States in 1930, when seven Christian businessmen coordinated a series of pre-Easter rallies.

With the Great Depression in its second year, these men saw a need for a spiritual revival in the Chicago area, and a six week evangelistic crusade was held at the Garrick Theatre, located in downtown Chicago.

In addition, a similar meeting was held in America each city, and it developed into the international CBMC formation in 1937.

Then, CBMC in Japan was established in 1976 through CBMC Korea.

It has the historical background of the CBMC birth and expanded to every country in the world afterwards, and 73 countries of the world were joined this CBMC in 1998. And, the joining of 100 countries has been promptly achieved among them, the United States and Korea do the most remarkable activity in the meantime.

CBMC in Korea

CBMC in Korea was established in 1968 by the typical businessmen 's praying for the Nation's peace. They trainded the methods of  evangelizing from American and aim to present the Gospel to non-Christians business and professional people with the activty of a super-sect. The feature is those who are business and political leaders act as key role in the work in Korea.
